Today was really challenging because the hill was really high and steep. By the time we got to the top I was really tired!

Ammna says wow what a day!
We had an exciting day hillwalking. It was a hard and long day but getting to the top and seeing the amazing views made it worthwhile!
I had lots of fun spending the day with my friends and feel really proud of myself for pushing on and getting to the top even though I thought I wouldn't make it.
I enjoyed falling in a boggy puddle on the way and seeing the reindeer!
I'm looking forward to tomorrow, I'm a bit worried about abseiling but I'll give it my best shot!

Today we went hillwalking it was cold and very windy. Kris reckons it was 30 mph winds! Luckily no one was blown away! We had lots of fun jumping off heather and somersaulting down the hill whilst we sang ring a ring of roses. Mrs Sutton says Jack snd I were lively and bouncy like a pair of puppies.
We walked a really long way and say reindeer on the way. We were all relieved to find the hut to shelter in for lunch.

In the afternoon we went tree climbing in the area of Lagganlia. It was dry at first, however, it started raining so it was harder to climb the tree. It was safe though because there were ropes that held us so we wouldn't fall or hurt ourselves. It looked fun and exciting when we were all at the bottom of the tree but when we climbed up the tree it got very challenging- even though there were little slots to put your feet in. After everyone did the activity we all went back to our dorms to get warm again because we were freezing at the end!
Kris`s group - Anya, Jack S., Lauren, Liam D, Cameron, Ellie F, Amna, Mark
Today we were on a cycling trip with our leader, Kris. First we got our gear and were fitted for a bike it took ages but after we were all geared up and we left. We started with going to our cycle path. When we started there were lots of hills and bumpy ditches. We arrived to a cycling track where we were practicing to lift the front wheel up over a stick and cycle around the track again and again. Eventually we moved on, ahead there were lots and lots of rocks, hills, ditches and bumps!!!!!!
This afternoon we got our bear suits (fluffy onesies) and waterproof trousers and coats. We also got our wellies on. After we drove to the mountain beside lagganlia. Kris, our leader dropped us off at a path. We made our way up to a green gate then stopped for for a couple of minutes. Soon we came to the gorge.... We began to climb up the gorge, we had to put our heads under the water to get under some logs. When we reached the top of the bit we were climbing some of us slid down the rocks on pur bottoms while the others watched.

This morning we went mountain biking. Our leader, Rob took us to a nearby dirt track. We cycled towards Kango Mountain. In total we cycled 7 miles. There were lots of uphill bits. It was tiring. We came back to the house and ate our lunch in the common room.
We went skiing this afternoon with Rob and Mrs Palmer. First we had to put all our kit on in the ski store room. We got weighed and had to pick our shoe size. We set off for the dry ski slope. We learned how to put the skis on and take them off. Then we went up to the yellow line and skied down. We learned how to stop by putting our feet into the shape of a slice of pizza. We learned how to take the tow up. Some of us fell over quite a lot!

Today we went abseiling. It was scary at first and none of us wanted to do it! However, after our nerves settled, a few of us got the hang of it. Simon and Bobbie told us how to do it. It looked smaller from the bottom than it did from the top! When you started off, you had to lean over the edge and when you did, there was no turning back.....
Scott, Sean S, Sean F and Reece
After lunch we went to all the stores to get suited up and jumped on the bus. It took us at least 10 mins to get there and when we got off we had to do a 20 minute walk to get to the Gorge...which was a zooming waterfall! We got three quarters of the way up and we got to slide down a small part of the waterfall. It was very slidy but we worked together and nobody got hurt. At one point it got very deep. The last slide was very deep and cold but Andy pulled us up with the rope. The walk back to the mini bus took ages and we were soaking wet but had a great time.
Liam J, Katy, Jade and Montaha
This morning our first activity was climbing. First, we went to practise on the indoor climbing wall. They key to the challenge was team work and communication. We found this first challenge easy then went outside to find ourselves with a much bigger challenge- climbing a ginormous tree! We had to climb and ring a bell which was placed at the top. Unfortunately, only half the group managed to do this. This was a challenge for us because we were put off by the height of the tree and we could see the river Feshie. Although some of us didn't get to the top, we were all proud of each other
